Our under 5’s sessions encourage kids and carers to engage with Islington’s heritage, our collection and exhibitions, together in fun and creative ways.
£2 donation per child, messy clothing recommended.
Messy Play: Islington on Canvas. 18th January, 10.00-11.30 am.
Explore our exhibition ‘Islington on Canvas’. Experiment with mark making, process arts and make a picture of your favourite spot in Islington!
Sing-a-Long: Singing for Change. 15th February, 10.00-11.30am
Come on a musical adventure, play instruments and learn about the ways in which people in Islington have stood up for their rights throughout history.
Storytelling: Islington’s Pride. 16th February, 10.00-11.30am.
Join storyteller Dani to celebrate our Islington’s Pride project and learn about the stories of LGBTQ+ families in Islington.
Messy Play: Spring Time! 22nd February, 10.00-11.30am.
Get messy celebrating the end of winter, create flowers, make prints and explore watery art.
Storytelling: Bunhill Fields. 6th March, 10.00-11.30 am.
Storyteller Dani takes you on an imaginary journey into Bunhill’s past. Discover local stories and interesting characters before making crafts together.
Messy Play: Art Now! 29th March, 10.00-11.30 am.
Come and create messy art! Get inspired by our youth exhibition, Art Now! which showcases art produced by local GCSE and A-Level artists.

Messy Play: Bunhill Fields. 26th April, 10.00—11.30pm
Explore the stories and techniques featured in our new community exhibition about Bunhill, with some messy, creative play.
The museum is safe, welcoming and child-friendly. We have a baby changing facility, a lift, and bench outside for snacks. There are toys, dressing up boxes and play areas, to explore.
